Marco Swit is a dedicated, passionate & innovative saxophone player, who forever continues to hone his skills, further his musical knowledge and extend his variety of musical genres, to create and marry them into what is now his own unique multicultural style, with jazz influences. However, he continues to explore and expand his repertoire to reflect the ever changing tides in the music scene.

He was born in Arequipa, Peru, and at a very young age became involved in playing music. At the age of 15 he discovered his love of the saxophone, and was totally fascinated by it, sparking the desire in him to learn to play it, and soon after, his goal and ambition was to become a professional musician in Europe. And, he is here still, after more than 30 years, having succeeded in reaching his desire.

Forever he continues learning, and wanting to improve, not only to play, but to entertain. And, to delight people with his performance, is always his aim. Coupled with the desire to give people what they want, namely good music. He also wants to become a true master of his craft. His love of music and the saxophone shine through, along with his interpretive qualities and a bit of Latin spirit. He does not think you’ll be disappointed once you see him and hear him play!

He is available to hire, for events, weddings, parties, concerts etc.

Additional Information:

At present - Continues to regularly play, mainly solo performances. Also with a variety of musicians and bands, in and around Zürich, and other counties. Most recent: Martin “Stonee” Wettstein & Friends, and the Soofou Funk Band.

Instruments - Tenor (main) & Alto Saxophones. Percussion - Bongo & Conga Drums. Wind - Pan flutes.

Saxophone Influences - Greats, like the legendary Charlie Parker, Paquito de Rivera, Dave Koz, and especially Cuban musician, Kiko Cowan.
